Sep 17, 2022 - Union’s Delta-Psi chapter of Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society provided eight volunteers at the 13th annual “Racing So They Can Ride” 5k and 10k races at Dick’s Sporting Goods on September 17, 2022. This year’s event marked the 10th anniversary of the chapter’s association with the charitable fundraiser. All participating chapter members received a “Racing So They Can Ride” T-shirt and a Lindt chocolate bar for their service at the event. The eight volunteers were: Dr. Henry Allen, Makayla Baker, Robert Briley, Dr. Stephen Carls, Breanna Edmiston, Nicholas Palmer, Anna Yadkowski, and Christian Young.
Monies raised at the “Racing So They Can Ride” races go to support the hippotherapy program at the Rein-bow Riding Academy in West Tennessee. The academy is a service of West Tennessee Healthcare’s Therapy and Learning Center.
