Nov 14, 2022 - The Rutledge Honorary History Club held its fall semester plenary meeting on November 14, 2022, at which Club President Breanna Edmiston initiated Nayelli McDowell, Katlin Palm-Leis, and Samantha Poore into the organization. Dr. Henry Allen, the club’s faculty advisor, presented them with their membership certificates, while club members Anna Guelcher and Sophia Keskeys observed.
In the business segment of the meeting, Edmiston and Allen talked about plans for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year. Edmiston mentioned a history movie night that would include pizza and soft drinks, and Allen alluded to the history department’s annual awards banquet in the spring.
For snacks, Edmiston did something special – she prepared hot chocolate in the kitchen adjacent to the room where the history club meeting took place and combined the hot drink with cookies and candy canes to make it a festive occasion for everyone who attended the event.
