Nov 16, 2022 - In a special ceremony at Union University’s Library in the Logos on November 16, 2022, Union’s Delta-Psi chapter of Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society presented 12 books that it purchased for the library’s history collection to Library Director Melissa Moore. The $250 spent for the books revives a tradition that started in 2003 when the chapter purchased history books for the library with prize money from a Phi Alpha Theta Best Chapter Award and ended after the chapter earned its 17th straight and last Best Chapter Award in 2019. The chapter paid for this year’s purchases with monies from new sources. Delta-Psi President Tad Binkley, Vice President Breanna Edmiston, and Faculty Advisor Dr. Stephen Carls represented the Delta-Psi chapter at the presentation ceremony.
The books that Union’s Phi Alpha Theta chapter bought for the library included:
- A Brief History of Equality by Thomas Piketty
