The program at the courthouse was a part of the Tennessee Great War Commission's weekend symposium on November 4-6 about the First World War. Poole's portrayal was part of a living history exhibit at Jackson's Casey Jones Railroad Museum on November 6, 2016. The Tennessee Great War Commission's World War I symposium offered several special exhibits about the home front in Tennessee during the First World War. Internationally acclaimed historian Dr. George Nash speaks on the topic of Herbert Hoover, the US Food Administration, and Dr. J. A. H. Morgan on November 5, 2016, as part of a Tennessee Great War Commission-sponsored symposium titled Feeding, Clothing, Arming, and Transporting the Troops: the Home Front In Tennessee.
