Student Organizations

THE PSYCHOLOGY CLUB provides information regarding graduate programs and job opportunities for PSY majors and minors, provides information about current writings in the field, encourages friendship among psychology students, promotes scholastic achievement, and provides information to students who want to learn more about the major.

PSI CHI is the National Honor Society in psychology, founded in 1929, to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship, and advance the science of psychology. Membership is open to majors who have completed three semesters with nine PSY hours, a 3.0 cumulative GPA, and a 3.5 PSY GPA.

PHILANTHROPY

The Psychology Club, along with Psi Chi, conduct charitable projects such as a food drive for RIFA and sponsorship of a child for the Christmas party for the Carl Perkins Child Abuse Prevention Center.

AFTER GRADUATION

Many psychology majors pursue advanced degrees in fields such as occupational therapy, physical therapy, social work, law, medicine, and education.
