Dr. Joseph Xu serves as an Associate Marketing Professor in the McAfee School of Business. He earned his Bachelor and master’s degrees from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in China and then went on to complete his first Ph.D. in Marketing at Xiamen University and Second Ph.D. in Business Administration (Minor in International Business) at Old Dominion University. Before coming to Union, he taught at Xiamen University and worked as an exchange scholar at the University of Oregon. Dr. Xu enjoys helping students make connections between their classes and the real world of business. He strives to challenge his students to think critically and make those connections to help solve real business problems. In addition to teaching at Union, Dr. Xu has conducted and published research that focuses on marketing strategies and customer value co-creation.
