Equip Youth Apologetics Conference
Does God really exist? Is Christianity outdated? Is the Bible true?
How should we respond to such questions? And if we're honest, what should we do with our doubts and questions?
We can try to ignore them. But they won't go away, and are likely to fester and resurface at a later date. We can be ruled by them, giving in to our fears and being tossed to and fro.
Or we can face them. My mom always said, "If there really is a God and He is who He says He is, then He can handle your questions." Jesus says, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life" (John 14:6). Seeking truth isn't incompatible with being a Christian; it's a requirement for finding the One who is Truth.
In 2022 I founded the annual EQUIP Youth Apologetics Conference to help students to think more carefully about the Christian faith, to strengthen their own faith, and to share that faith with others. It's intended for mature middle schoolers, highschoolers, and recent high school graduates. It meets in September on the first Saturday after Labor Day. Topics change yearly so you can keep being equipped year after year.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitated to email me at gspoore@uu.edu. I hope you'll join us!
