Union University
Do you know a member of the junior class who consistently leads with a servant’s heart on campus and/or in the community at large? You can honor him or her as well as the practice of servant leadership by nominating that person for the Barnabas Leadership Award. In partnership with the Barney II Foundation, Union University has established the Barnabas Leadership Award to recognize students who have demonstrated leadership in the area of community and ministry service. Juniors with at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA are eligible to receive one of the two $500 awards that will be presented at Awards Day chapel on May 7. Recipients are asked to designate at least $100 of the award to a charitable agency or non-profit organization of their choice. The Barnabas Leadership Award promotes the ideals of servant leadership in the Union community. A committee of faculty, staff, and students will review the nominations to select the finalists and recipients. Nomination forms will be mailed to all faculty/staff and members of the junior class and must be submitted to Jason Castles (Campus Box 1806) by Friday, February 22, 2008.
