Critically acclaimed author James E. Cherry will conduct a poetry reading on Wednesday, April 8 in Barefoot's Joe. "James E. Cherry's collection of poems, Honoring the Ancestors, has been nominated for a 2009 NAACP Image Award. Published by Third World Press, Honoring the Ancestors pays tribute to people, places and events that have shaped Cherry's artistic development. The book was released in June 2008."
