Union Chapter of Jackson Exchange Club Interest Meeting
February 29, 2016: 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Bowld Student Commons, Bowld 121
We want to invite you to be a part of a new initiative at Union University to make a difference on campus, in Jackson, and beyond. The Jackson Exchange Club will be planting the first Collegiate Exchange Club at Union this spring and you have the opportunity to be a charter member of this service-oriented group. The Exchange Club has been serving the United States for more than 100 years and the national focus is child abuse prevention.
Locally, more than 120 exchangites work alongside the Exchange Club-Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse. This center serves more than 4,000 young people across West Tennessee who have been the victims of child sexual or physical abuse or neglect. It is a LIFE CHANGING organization and you can be a part of their work. Beyond child abuse prevention, the opportunities are limitless to serve: hosting political forums, clean-up campus days, collection drives for toys at Christmas, monetary drives for gifting teens at Christmas served by the center, campus concerts to benefit the center…these are some of the projects being accomplished by collegiate exchange clubs that are chartering all over the southeast.
We invite you to join us on Monday, February 29 at 6 p.m. in Bowld 121 for a discussion of what the next steps of this process will be. Coffee and dessert will be provided.
You may RSVP to Thomas Wilson (thomas.wilson@my.uu.edu), Eddie Echeverria (eddie.echeverria@my.uu.edu) or Chris Ramey (Chris.Ramey@jcseagles.org).
We look forward to many of you joining in this exciting new chapter of Union’s long history of service.
