Homecoming 2004: Coffeehouse Concert with Ginny Owens

The Student Activities Council and your National Alumni Association proudly welcome the 2000 Dove Award winner, Ginny Owens as our 2004 Homecoming Coffeehouse artist on Wednesday, February 18th.
Bio: In spite of becoming blind at the age of two, Ginny has ambitiously pursued a career and a ministry as both a songwriter and musician. Ginny sings about "God's love" both His compassionate, merciful nature and His firm discipline in the presence of Human arrogance. Source: www.ginnyowens.com
From the release of her debut album, Without Condition, Ginny has been embraced by the Christian community and has had the rare opportunity to share her music and testimony around the world, including such venues as the 2000 Sundance Film festival and appeared on "Live! With Regis and Kathie Lee" as well as CNN's "Worldbeat."
Ginny is working on her fourth album, which is scheduled to be released in January, 2004. Her first three albums, produced by Rocketown Records, are Without Condition (1999), Something More (March 2002), and Blueprint (November 2002). She is a pianist and vocalist at heart whose sound - offers progressive, intelligent pop tunes that recall everything fans love about her deeply intimate and thought-provoking songwriting. Bonus: Ginny will lead the homecoming chapel service at 10:00 AM for a time of praise and worship prior to the 9:00 PM coffeehouse concert in Coburn. Both concerts are free and open to exclusively to Union students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
