Global Focus Month: Culture & Context: Church History, Orthodoxy, and #BLACKLIVESMATTER
September 6, 2016: 8:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Bowld Student Commons, Bowld 221
As part of Global Focus Month we want to first consider how to engage with the culture in our immediate context. Then, as the Lord leads us from here, we will be better equipped engage new cultures in a life-giving and prophetic manner since that has already become part of who we are. Dr. Bantu will pull specific examples from history and personal experience of how the church has addressed (or should have addressed) racial strife in a biblical manner as a framework for how Christians today can interact with racial strife (ie: activism and #BLACKLIVESMATTER).
