Phone-Free Day at UU
April 26, 2018: 10:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Union University
Technology, and the use of technology for the betterment of God’s people, is a valuable asset. It's hard to imagine life before our gadgets... especially our smartphones. But smartphone addiction is on the rise and studies have shown that technology can foster emotional, social, and spiritual immaturity among young people.
We want to challenge Union students, faculty, and staff to put aside their technology for a day and plug into what really matters–our relationships, seeing the beauty that's around us. Join us Thursday, April 26 for Phone Free Day at UU. This will be a day of challenge and reflection on our use of technology and its effects on our life.
Can you live a day without your smartphone? The first 200 to sign up will receive a challenge card, free dinner in the Bowld, and a chance to win door prizes. Union Cup points will be awarded to the buildings of all residential students who are participating.
Registration for this event is now closed. We still encourage you to voluntarily give up your device for the day. If you have any questions about the event, email Melissa Moore at mmoore@uu.edu.
