Chapel: Tim and Sarah Ellsworth
November 9, 2022: 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Tim ('96) and Sarah Ellsworth, Associate Vice President for University Communications, Union University
On January 13, 2014, Tim and Sarah Ellsworth’s son Noah was diagnosed with leukemia. For the next 2 ½ years, they walked through his sickness, treatments, and healing. On the day they received the diagnosis, Tim wrote “The Psalms have been my source of comfort over the past 72 hours, and I'm sure will remain so in the days ahead. One verse that continues to bless me is Psalm 34:18: ‘The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.’ We are indeed brokenhearted and crushed in spirit. But that only tells us that the Lord is near. He has been gracious to us in the past, and his grace will lead us home.”
Hear them speak of God and perseverance in chapel on Wednesday.
