JACKSON, Tenn. — March 22, 2010 — Ole Miss poet Beth Ann Fennelly will present a poetry reading at Union University March 25 as part of a creative writing workshop for high school students.
Fennelly, an associate professor at the University of Mississippi, has published three books of poetry: “Open House,” which won the 2001 Kenyon Review Prize, “Tender Hooks” and “Unmentionables.” She is also the author of the nonfiction book “Great with Child.” Her poems have been reprinted in more than 40 anthologies.
Fennelly’s reading will begin at 1 p.m. in Harvey Auditorium, located in the Barefoot Student Union Building. It is free and open to the public.
