Union to host two community Christmas concerts

JACKSON, Tenn.Dec. 1, 2016 — Union University will hold two live Christmas music events to celebrate the holiday season.

The annual “A Union Christmas” celebration will take place at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 6. The event will include Scripture readings, congregational singing and performances by university choirs Cantilena, Voices of Proclamation and the University Singers, in addition to the Community Music Center children’s and youth choirs and the Union symphonic band and orchestra.

The next day, the music department will continue the tradition of the annual “Christmas Gift to the Community” concert Dec. 7 at 10 a.m. This program is an abbreviated performance of the previous night.

Both events are free and open to the public and will take place in the G.M. Savage Memorial Chapel on the Union University campus.
