Dauer named director of Union University Hendersonville

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn.Feb. 21, 2017 — Renee Dauer has been named campus director at Union University Hendersonville.

Dauer has been director of continuing studies and assistant professor in organizational leadership at Union University's Hendersonville campus since May 2010. She will continue to oversee adult and professional programs in addition to her role as campus director.

“At Union University Hendersonville, we have an outstanding group of faculty and staff members who provide Christ-centered, excellent education to our students,” Dauer said. “I look forward to leading our campus to meet the educational and professional development needs of our community.”

Dauer received her bachelor’s degree from Ohio University and her master’s from Western Kentucky University. She is also a graduate of Union’s Doctor of Education program with a specialization in higher education leadership. Dauer has been teaching for more than 25 years.

“Renee Dauer has been a strong advocate for Christian higher education in Hendersonville and the surrounding region for many years,” said C. Ben Mitchell, provost and vice president for academic affairs at Union. “We’re grateful for the leadership she has shown as director of our continuing studies program there, and we’re pleased that she’s taking on additional leadership responsibilities for the entire campus. She is an excellent representative of Union University in Hendersonville.”

Dauer and her husband, Brett, have lived in Hendersonville for more than 20 years and are members of the Hendersonville First United Methodist Church. She also serves on the Education and Economic Development committees for the Hendersonville Area Chamber of Commerce.
