Youth Director The Youth Director plays a vital role in shaping the spiritual growth of youth within North Jackson Baptist Church and our community. The Youth Director will provide general staff oversight of North Jackson Baptist Church’s youth including all activities and events with an emphasis on providing a nurturing, safe, engaging, Christian experience for young individuals to grow in their faith. This person should bring positive energy and creative ideas in all aspects of discipleship for youth from 7th through 12th grade. This person should have a vision of meeting the needs of not only North Jackson Baptist Church, but also of our community. This person should be a team player and a member of North Jackson Baptist Church. This part-time position averages __________ hours a week. This staff member should serve on the following committees and regularly attend their meetings: 1. Church Council 2. Church Staff 3. Outreach This person should also focus on the following objectives: 1. Leading youth into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and His church. 2. Develop a well-rounded youth ministry emphasizing: a. Worship b. Small groups c. Prayer d. Bible study e. Fellowship/recreation f. Missions/service 3. Teach the youth Sunday School class and their Wednesday night class. 4. Ability to recruit adult workers to assist and serve with programs and activities. 5. Ability to publicize youth events to youth and parents through social media, emails, newsletters, mailings, and other means of communication, 6. Participate in worship on Sunday mornings with the guidance of the pastor.
