Endowed Scholarships
Currently, Union has 419 endowed scholarship funds that are awarded to approximately 500 students each year. Increasing the endowment will allow more students to be supported through scholarships, particularly middle-income families that need a little help to afford a private university's tuition. Athletic scholarships are another important resource, helping to recruit and retain student athletes who are skilled in their sport and aligned with Union's mission.
When Union's scholarship endowment grows, every bit of that support helps students. It provides an excellent, Christ-centered education to students who otherwise might not be able to afford one. Families have been transformed because of one young person coming to Union. Businesses have been transformed because of one Union graduate. Churches, non-profit organizations, healthcare providers, schools, communities — all have been transformed because of the education that Union University provides to students. All of that is made possible because of what happens in students' lives at Union University.
