Three Graduate in December

Posted Dec 20, 2020

The Department is proud to send three graduates into the world as we wrap up 2020. Addison Osborne, Micah Haynes, and Charissa Kinchen have been a joy to have in class over the past four years and we wish them the best.

Addison Osborne of Barbourville, KY excelled throughout her entire time at Union. She won the academic excellence award in both Political Science and History and won the Best Senior Thesis Award in Political Science. Due to her interest in politics, she interned with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Congressman Hal Rogers, the Republican National Convention, and the White House where she worked in the Office of Political Affairs. She was also very active in campus life in Chi Omega and Inter-Fraternity Council. She is current Deputy Scheduler for Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN).

Charissa Kinchen of Jackson transferred to Union from Lberty University and spent her last year and a half as one of our students. Charissa is very organized and a hard worker. At Union, she won the award for Best American Politics Paper. She interned with the Family Research Council after graduating and is now an online course specialist for Hillsdale College.

Micah Haynes is also from Jackson and was very active in Chi Omega and othe campus activities. She is now an Administrative Assistant at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashviile.
