Dr. Wayne Bowen
Professor of History and Director of Interdisciplinary Studies
University of Central Florida

Dr. Wayne Bowen is an historian who has written extensively on the history of Spain, military history, and the Middle East. The topic of his lecture comes from his experience as an officer in the United States Army who served as a civil affairs officer for higher education and antiquities in the Iraq War. His responsibilities included the preservation of archaeological sites dating back to the Assyrian Empire. At present, he is writing a book on the Reformation in Spain.
