JACKSON, Tenn. — April 11, 2016 — Jerry Walls, scholar in residence and professor of philosophy at Houston Baptist University, will give an intellectual discipleship lecture April 14 at Union University.
Walls’ primary research focus is on philosophy of religion, ethics and Christian apologetics. His lecture is titled “The Lion is Real: C.S. Lewis’s Case for Christianity.”
Walls is the author of numerous books and articles, including “Hell: The Logic of Damnation,” “Heaven: The Logic of Eternal Joy” and “Purgatory: The Logic of Total Transformation.” He has been a guest on National Public Radio and the TV show “Faith Under Fire.”
The lecture will take place from 7 to 8 p.m. at Hartley Recital Hall in Jennings Hall on Union’s campus.
