Adkins Involed with HCLC

Michele W. Atkins, Ph.D., Professor of Education

March 1, 2010 - Dr. Michele Atkins serves on Union's Honors Curriculum Leadership Committee (HCLC).
The HCLC was created as a result of Union University's QEP. The committee is comprised of faculty and administrators from various disciplines across campus who were and are charged to redesign the honor's program. To date, the HCLC has designed the discipline-specific honors program, hired a director of the honors community, and designed a general honors program. Much research, analysis, and evaluation is involved in the committee, such as the development of a critical thinking rubric; best practices in honors curriculum, assessment, and instruction; and enrollment policy practices.
