Nov 23, 2020 - Thanks to the creativity of the College of Pharmacy’s Missions and Community Outreach Committee Chair, Dr. Bethany Murphy, and the generosity of our COP pharmily, the COP raised enough money to provide ten Thanksgiving meals for local families affiliated with East Elementary School in Humboldt. The meals included a turkey, corn, beans, mashed potatoes, stuffing, macaroni and cheese, and chocolate cake for dessert. Additionally, the COP collected donations for weekend backpack meals, school supplies, and various clothing items and made a $250 donation to the Christmas Angel Tree project at the school. COP members worked together on this project as a part of the first annual Battle of the Student Orgs. Rho Chi won the competition, with 100% of membership making a donation. PLS finished in second place, with SCCP in third, followed very closely by SSHP in fourth place. All who donated were rewarded with a Christmas pajama day.
